The Digital Ecology Group is primarily dedicated to conducting research on multi-source remote sensing technologies, predominantly LiDAR, and promoting their interdisciplinary applications in urban, environmental, and related fields. The research group currently undertakes multiple significant scientific research projects, including the National Key R&D Program of China and the General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. The group has published over 210 papers in prestigious journals such as Nat. Ecol. Evol., Nat. Commun., Remote Sens. Environ., and ISPRS. They have also published three monographs, won the Excellent Book Award from the China Press and Publication Academy, and were selected as “14th Five-Year Plan” national key publications. Relevant achievements have been highlighted as major research breakthroughs (Breaking News) by the US National Science Foundation (NSF) and have been successively reported by well-known domestic and international media outlets, including People’s Daily, CCTV, Xinhua Net, Scientific American, The New York Times, and BBC.
Many graduate students trained by the research group have received prestigious titles, such as the “Hundred Talents Program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and Sun Yat-sen University, as well as high-level talent titles at Nanjing Agricultural University. They have won numerous domestic and international awards, including the “National Scholarship,” “Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad,” “US National Science Foundation Paper Award,” “American Association of Geographers (AAG) Best Paper Award,” and “Peking University President’s Scholarship.”
The research group is currently recruiting postdoctoral researchers in the fields of Remote Sensing, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Computer Science. Additionally, we are continuously recruiting visiting students (undergraduate level and above) from universities nationwide.
